Privacy policy

Effective September 13, 2026. Almintakh Hermes is a personal-use assistant operated by Mohammed Al-Mintakh.

Google data and purpose

With the owner's authorization, Hermes can access Gmail messages, metadata and attachments, send messages and manage mail, and access and manage Google Calendar calendars and events. Access is used to carry out the owner's requests, such as summaries, drafts, replies and calendar management. Drive, Contacts, Docs and Sheets are outside this integration.

Processing and sharing

Hermes runs on the owner's Hostinger VPS. Relevant content may be sent to the configured AI provider, currently OpenAI or Anthropic, to fulfill an assistant request. Requested answers and files may appear in Discord. Those providers process transmitted content under their applicable service terms and policies. The owner should consider these destinations before requesting sensitive content in a chat. OAuth credentials are kept on the VPS and are not intentionally included in assistant prompts or Discord messages.

Google user data is not sold, used for advertising, or intentionally used by this application to develop or train generalized AI models. Any transfer of Google API data will follow the Google API Services User Data Policy, including Limited Use requirements. Provider settings and contracts must support those requirements before Google content is processed with that provider.

Storage and retention

OAuth credentials persist until removed or revoked. Requested content may remain in assistant conversation history, generated files, Discord history, or provider records according to those systems' settings. There is no automatic retention deadline configured for this personal installation. The owner can delete local records and outputs and manage retention or deletion in the connected services.

Control and security

The owner controls connected accounts and requested actions. Google access can be revoked at Google Account connections. Revocation stops further authorized access but does not remove previously saved copies. Credentials are stored in access-restricted files. No system can guarantee absolute security.
